The program is free and it is going to stay free. But keeping it alive costs money and, above all, hours. So this is not a tip jar: it is a clock. Every contribution pushes it forward.
€1 = one more day of ZasCue alive. Alive means this: the site stays up, the program stays downloadable, I answer the emails, and I keep fixing bugs and shipping versions. When someone contributes, the date above moves and their name appears below.
Then the project ends, and I mean that literally — otherwise none of this means anything:
No mystery: the domain and the hosting, which are the cheap part, and my time, which is the expensive one. I make ZasCue on my own — the program, the site, the guides and the emails I answer. I am not after a salary; I am after the hours I put in not coming only out of my own pocket.
If you would rather not contribute, there is another kind of help that counts just as much: tell me about the bugs you hit. Half a dozen versions have come out of that.
If you contribute and would rather not appear here, just say so and you will not.
ZasCue is in English and Spanish. Esta página en español.
